The Halal International Certification and Standardization Center under the Council of Muftis of Russia took part in the IV ARABIA-EXPO 2019 International Exhibition. The Russian Muftis Council acted as a partner of the event. The exhibition opened its doors on April 8 and will last until April 10. The venue was the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege", Moscow. The XII Session of the Russian-Arab Business Council started today there.

The events are attended by ministers of relevant ministries of the Arab countries, owners and top managers of large foreign corporations, representatives of government bodies of Russia and leading Russian companies.

The XII Session of the Russian-Arab Business Council was opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov. The Minister greeted the participants, after which he read out a message from President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

In his message, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the relevance and effectiveness of the Russian-Arab Business Council, its contribution to the development of direct dialogue and practical interaction between Russian business communities and countries of the Middle East and North Africa region.
"The active work of the Council creates the conditions for increasing and diversifying trade exchanges, for growing mutual investments and implementing promising joint projects in the fields of industry and agriculture, energy and high technology, transport and infrastructure," the message of the President says.
Dmitry Medvedev, in his greeting, stressed that Russia and the Arab states have strong ties of friendship and partnership, he also expressed confidence that the current event in Moscow will fully reveal the significant potential of cooperation between Russia and the states of the region.
In his speech, Sergey Lavrov noted that the holding of such representative events that have become a good tradition is a clear confirmation of mutual interest in strengthening and diversifying trade and economic ties.

"Further deepening of mutually beneficial practical cooperation will significantly strengthen the foundation of Russian-Arab relations and will give a powerful additional impetus to their further development," the Russian Foreign Minister said.

"ARABIA-EXPO" united 22 Arab states and 85 Russian regions on one site. Russia is represented by 23 Russian companies - representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. The exposition of the Russian Export Center on the first day of the work of "ARABIA-EXPO" was visited by more than 1000 people.
Participating in the IV International Exhibition "ARABIA-EXPO 2019", the Halal International Certification and Standardization Center under the Council of Muftis of Russia sets itself the task of attracting global companies to cooperate, expanding the geography of their products and increasing export channels. More than ten companies have shown interest in the activities of the Center. During the business conversations, the center's employees managed to talk about the organization's activities, the results achieved and the development strategy, and exchange contacts.

The organizers of the XII session of the Russian-Arab Business Council and the IV International Exhibition "ARABIA-EXPO" were the Russian-Arab Business Council (RADS) with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the League of Arab States, the Union of Arab Chambers, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation AI, the Government of Moscow, the Russian Export Center, the Embassies of Russia in the Arab countries and diplomatic missions of the Arab countries in Moscow.
